Every little girl dreams of their wedding day, and over the years I’ve had multiple dreams on what such a day would look like spanning from a gorgeous Italian shindig to an elopement with “Elvis” officiating in Vegas. Katie is a Memphis artist who uses acrylic and latex paint to create impressionist paintings featuring soothing colors “that evoke a sense of calm” to tell a story in layers. Keeping this in mind, branding for her paintings played off her artistic aesthetic to see to every detail down to the painting price tag.
Southern, sweet and timeless are all synonymous with Porcelain Bunny, a children’s clothing store in Memphis, TN. Aside from seersucker there is no other pattern that says “southern,” in our opinion, then gingham, which was the starting point for this branding project.
With a name like “Threshold Photography,” it was hard not to play off the wording when it came to the main logo design. From there, we branched out with different icons and script formats to give her several options for her website and social media usage.
