Cradle + Bee Candle Packaging

Raise your hand if you frequently find yourself in a last minute pickle for a birthday or happy occasion gift?

I know this year I definitely have been. One would think that given COVID-19 slowing things down, I'd be more on top of upcoming birthdays and celebrations but that's been the exact opposite. I ashamed to admit that I texted a good friend on her birthday asking her what she wanted, and then was late giving it to her from our planned birthday dinner! Thanks to mandated lock-downs and the cancelling of events, my social calendar dried up and I spent most every weekend hiking in the Memphis area with Elton (my dog) or going home to Birmingham to see family. Because of this, there weren’t any of those typical events that trigger me to remember birthdays and celebratory “holidays” like Mother’s Day.

All that being said, one of my product branding projects the past few months has been a collaboration between Cradle + Bee and Ecam and Co. candles to design these packaging labels. They are gift wrapping and a card all in one!

We started with a happy floral watercolor wreath that is universal for any occasional/season and then came up with a variety of gift-giving reasons: Happy Birthday, Thank You, Just Because, Happy Mother’s Day, Congratulations and more. For the store opening in August 2019,Ecam and Co. partnered with Cradle + Bee to create four exclusively named store scents: “Bee Vintage” a sweet tobacco vanilla, “Bee Fruity” a grapefruit mint, “Baby Bee” a clean lush linen, and “Buzzy Bee” a blooming floral.

For the packaged candle boxes, you select a scent and one of the gifting stickers and the lovely ladies at Cradle + Bee package everything up for you, tie it all up with a pretty ribbon, and then send you on your way with the PERFECT little happy gift all ready to go.
